The South Bank Show – The Royal Shakespeare Company – Director – 60 min, ITV1 (2009)
I shot and directed this historic film, which was the last ‘South Bank Show’ to be transmitted by ITV. It went behind the scenes as the RSC embarked on an ambitious and exciting new programme of work inspired by Russia and the ex-Soviet Union. Bringing to life artistic director Michael Boyd’s bold vision for an ensemble company, the film followed Boyd to Ukraine to meet Natalia Vorozbhit, the author of ‘The Grain Store’, one of the RSC’s newly commissioned plays.
