This is a clip from the last ‘South Bank Show’ to be transmitted by ITV, shot and directed by Naomi. It goes behind the scenes as the RSC embarked on an ambitious and exciting new programme of work inspired by Russia and the ex-Soviet Union. Bringing to life artistic director Michael Boyd’s bold vision for an ensemble company, the film follows Boyd to Ukraine to meet Natalia Vorozhbit, the author of ‘The Grain Store’, one of the RSC’s new plays. in this clip we hear from several survivors of the 1933 Holodomor, who have rarely spoken about their experiences till now.
