BLIND AMBITION is a darkly comic coming-of-age feature film about a teenage girl who fights to prevent impending blindness or her over-protective family thwarting her dreams to study photography. Currently in development with the BFI and inspired by screenwriter Georgie Wyatt’s lived experience.

Georgie Wyatt is a screenwriter, journalist and actress. She has written and performed three solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, with A POKE IN THE EYE transferring to the Soho Theatre. She’s been longlisted for BBC Writersroom & Funny Women Writing Award, and was selected for the 2023 Sky Comedy Rep scheme. She also co-wrote audio drama UNSEEN, which received the 2025 Digital Culture Award for Digital Inclusion. She writes regularly for the Guardian and is an ambassador for the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC).
